In this Place Value Activity students will practice addition and subtractions strategies using task cards and a 100s chart as a resource.
I use this packet a couple of different ways depending on the skill we are practicing (doubles digit addition & subtraction with & without regrouping / addition & subtraction within 20 / plus & minus 10 / riddles to find the number).

Teaching style
I am a firm believer in learning through play. Kiddos have to have plenty of opportunities to interact with each other to learn best. We play a lot of games in my classroom, which means that if you were to walk in you would not always find a quiet classroom! We talk to each other A LOT.
My own education history
I have my undergraduate degree in History from Southern Oregon University and my masters in teaching from Portland State.
