As a teacher of IB French, I integrated past tense review, future tense review, and a grammar point (relative pronouns: qui, que, dont, où) into this week-long project that uses the IB Blog text type as the format. My seniors LOVED this project. It aligns with the Ingenioisité humaine theme, and science & technology sub-theme. They have to create a commercial promoting a new invention that doesn't currently exist (it doesn't have to necessarily be a good idea, which made some of the commercials very funny.. ex: One group invented a pill that makes you bald, but they presented it with the advantages of "being more aerodynamic"). This document contains a graphic organizer/labeled template made for students to learn & practice the specific placement of the required elements of an official letter / proposition text type. The included example prompt aligns with the Ingénoisité humaine/human ingenuity unit and the sub-theme Réseaux sociaux (social media). I graded this assignment based on the actual IB rubrics (did not attach as to not copyright the material).

I incorporated this text type into my "Science et Technologie" unit that falls under the Ingenioisité Humaine theme. I created a template, prompt, and rubric for this assignment. My prompt relates to the science & technology sub-theme and a list of related vocabulary words is added to this packet as well. Additionally, there are notes on the Impératif tense as I required students to use it a few times within their opinion-based articles.

This document is all you need for being able to teach students how to write the IB text type, Entretien (Interview). This packet includes a travel vocabulary list (part of the assignment was to integrate specific words into their writing), a prompt that would elicit the choice of "entretien" as the proper text type, a template, and a specific rubric. This assignment aligns with the Expériences theme, and sub-theme: Les voyages. But you can use this template with any theme, just edit the prompt!

This is an editable file that I shared with my Spanish 6 students. These students use the Realidades textbook and are currently in Unit 1B. Their HW assignment is to double-click the text boxes and edit the GoogleSlides file to create an Instagram Bio about themselves. They need to use adjective agreement, know how to say "I am," and write 3 activities that they like to do using "Me gusta..." The template and instructions are provided!
