These small posters show the number parts of numbers 5-10. Instead of a + sign, they are presented with the word "and" in each number sentence. Once students have firmed up the meaning of "and," you may transition to the + sign easily (and eventually the = sign). I send home these posters so that students can practice with parents/guardians. I laminate them and use them in math centers/stations as well. They may be enlarged and hung in the classroom as well.
