I created this who, what, where activity to help my students with Autism become more successful in writing and answering WH questions. I will often times change the picture that they are describing with known people (themselves, family members or classmates). Move the numbers to see what they are supposed to write. This is a great way to engage the student in making simple sentences. You can use this as a lesson before using the workbooks (also on teachers pay teachers). You can practice sentence structure, capitalization and punctuation. For each page a timer (fire cracker) is set. After they make the sentence, touch the flame for the timer to start counting down. This Activity was created to help my students remember to go back to a text read to find the answer to a question. It is based on color coding and repetition. This is a great way to prepare students for test taking. It teaches them to stop frequently and then draw a picture of what they just read.
