Teaching style

I am passionate about hands-on learning and putting students at the center of the classroom experience. When introducing a project, students will always sketch, interpret, analyze, and evaluate artworks throughout history in their sketchbooks. Students will brainstorm their own ideas with guided worksheets in their sketchbooks. These ideas will be talked-through/approved by me before they get started. I will demonstrate how to create the artwork either live or through past recorded videos. Students willl have independent practice building their project. I move around the room, offering individualized support and guidance. We end the project with gallery walks&group/peer critiques with rubrics.

My own education history

California State University Long Beach, Bachelor's of Studio Arts, 2016-2018 California State University Long Beach, Single-Subject Teaching Credential, 2019 National University San Diego, Master of Education-Instructional Technology, 2020 NAEA National Conference, 2025
