Use this simple tool to track, record, and identify student needs during conferences. This will allow you the ability to easily locate which students need to be seen, how to personalize your instruction through individual teaching points, and holds both you and the student accountable for what work was done the last time you conferenced. There is a column to identify conference, small group, and even partner conferences as part of your records too. Another way I use this resource is highlighting

After watching Remember the Titans as part of our Social Studies curriculum, students chose a theme from the movie to explain. At this point in the year, we had already defined what was necessary for a response, therefore, my guidance might be needed to come this as needed in your classroom. This can be tailored to any curriculum related movie.

About the store

Experience

I have taught 5th grade in various departmentalization formats as well as extended learning with 4th graders and accelerated students at a 6th grade level. I have co-taught special education students in a general education setting. This year I will begin my 5th year of teaching at a new school to start a new challenge!

Teaching style

My teaching style involves students highly engaged in a workshop model so I am able to meet with groups and individual students to provide both scaffolds and challenges. Debates and discussions are one of my favorite activities for students because it requires picking a side and defending it. There is so much grow available for students who are challenged, encouraged, and motivated to become the best they can be!
