These basic functions guided notes are meant to introduce students to the basic concepts of functions. Students will identify linear and non-linear functions, review steps to graphing, determine the definition of a function, learn about explicit and recursive rules, identify increasing and decreasing functions, and learn about using the vertical line test to determine if a graph represents a function. This is meant to support a teacher-guided lesson on functions.

These guided notes help to support students in solving multi-step equations. There is a teacher example as well as a fill-in-the-blanks worksheet for students to complete. There is also an "important notes" section that spirals in prerequisites such as understanding variables and integers. There are several guided examples and practice problems for students to work on.

This Digital Checklist can be edited and provided to students as a visual agenda. This Universal Design for Learning Strategy supports all learners and helps students to stay on task.
