Setting: You are a photographer from a local newspaper in the Plains during the Dust Bowl. You have been assigned to record through pictures what is happening during the Dust Bowl.
Task:
1. Create a presentation showing pictures taken during the Dust Bowl.
2. Write brief descriptions (captions) to go with the pictures.

I use this sheet after the student complete a group project. It contains three sections of assessment. The students evaluate their contributions, their group's contributions and the teacher. I put down blanks so the students can show evidence of completion. I did this because, as teachers, we want our students to do their part in a project. This allows them to own up to not doing what they needed to for the group to be successful.
