This game is a favorite of teachers and students! It can be used for introduction of a unit, chapter, or lesson. It can also be used for assessment review. Begin by cutting up the scavenger hunt cards and taping around the room. Then, pass out the scavenger hunt worksheet to students. Students can use clipboards and go "hunt" for the answers that have been taped. Next, come together to go over the answers so everyone has a correct worksheet. A close reading activity to accompany the book "William Shakespeare and the Globe" by Aliki. The activity takes a beginning section of the book to start the reader off with a sense of who Shakespeare was. It also helps a young reader to slow down and take note of the many details.
