Class with Ash

Students will be naming various shapes while finding their area. They may also need to find the missing dimension. These task cards cover parallelograms, triangles and trapezoids. The document also includes a spreadsheet in which students can put their answers as well as an answer sheet.

The dot game everyone loves, altered a little to add in the concept of combining like terms. My students loved this!

I can use properties to simplify expressions. 6.EE.3 I can use the Distributive Property to compute multiplication problems mentally and to rewrite algebraic expressions. 6.EE.3, 6.NS.4 Students cut and paste the table into their interactive math notebook. As a class we then went through and added examples of each property. Students then draw an interpretation of their own to demonstrate the meaning of the property.

This maze is a self-checking worksheet that allows students to strengthen their skills at solving proportions. My students LOVED doing this over a normal worksheet! There are 24 problems included as well as an answer key!
