About the store
I am a middle-high school teacher and former library/media specialist in my fourth year of teaching. Previously teaching middle school reading intervention, I was always looking for something to make the lessons more interesting to my students and often had to adapt or create my own. Most of what you will find here are activities that I used with my students (most if not all being reluctant readers) to engage them and make reading and writing fun.

"Oedipus Rex" Annotation Guide

This annotation guide helps students keep track of what happens in each section of "Oedipus Rex" with boxes for characters, major events, words they don't know, the main conflict, their thoughts and questions. For students who have their own notetaking style while reading there's also a blank notes page for them to keep track of everything that happens. My ninth graders found this helpful when they were processing what they were reading but even more so when they were writing their Oedipus essay

Experience

I am a middle-high school teacher and former library/media specialist in my fourth year of teaching. Previously teaching middle school reading intervention, I was always looking for something to make the lessons more interesting to my students and often had to adapt or create my own. Most of what you will find here are activities that I used with my students (most if not all being reluctant readers) to engage them and make reading and writing fun.

Teaching style

I try to be as hands on as possible, it's important than my students can learn by doing instead of just listening to me drone on and on.
