This product is a detailed lesson plan to teach third or fourth grade students how to write a cinquain poem. This style of poetry is simple and fun for kids to create. I used the lesson plan with my fourth graders and they had a wonderful time writing their cinquains. They illustrated their final drafts and I laminated them and put them together as a class poetry book. I set it out in our classroom library and the students loved reading each other's work.

I created these documents to help me easily keep track of my students' modes of transportation from school to home. The first page is a letter to parents asking them to fill out a brief form indicating how their child will be getting home from school each day. I plan to keep it in the front of my planning binder so that I will know "at a glance" which concepts my students are expected to know.
