This packet includes five homework sheets, one for each day of the week. They could also be used as classwork or even quizzes. Each sheet includes a section on skip-counting, writing numbers in standard and expanded form, and representing numbers as Base Ten blocks. These homework sheets meet the following Common Core State Standards for second grade math:
2.NBT.A.2 Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s
2.NBT.A.3 Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number name
I created this series of worksheets for my second-graders as a review of telling time to the nearest hour, half hour, and quarter hour before we began telling time to the nearest five minutes. However, the worksheets could also be used as a challenge for advanced first-graders.
