This is my intro to the color wheel. I read my students “Mixed” by Arree Chung. This children’s book talks about the primary colors mixing. We then go on to explain and talk about the Color Wheel and why the primary colors and secondary colors are placed on the Color Wheel the way that they are. My students love reading a book along with the activity. The book along with my lesson instructions help students connect primary and secondary colors with prior knowledge to mixing colors.
