I have taught Kindergarten as well as 1st Grade in rural and urban Title 1 schools. I teach a large population of ESL students. Although I have taught 1st and loved it, Kindergarten is my favorite because they make so much growth...and it's the most fun :)
I was named the 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year for my school. Within my district, I lead monthly professional development on teaching mathematics in Kindergarten. I have also led professional development on Guided Reading in Kindergarten and vocabulary instructional strategies.
