These STEM challenges are great for 1st grade through 7th grade! I have used each of these during summer camp with campers of all ages, slightly modify materials or directions and you have the perfect activity for any age and time frame. The NYS ELA Module 1 Unit 2 curriculum is based on the novel Esperanza Rising. In the lesson plans are entrance tickets- basically comprehension questions from each chapter. I have made them more accessible for students to understand, especially towards the beginning of the year. Our district uses learning and language targets for each lesson.
