About the store
I have taught part-time for eleven years and full-time for the past seven years. I have taught middle school sciences, anatomy, chemistry (high school and college intro level), anatomy, physics, and biology. I also teach Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science courses. I previously worked in a hospital setting for twenty-one years managing a lab in a large surgical department which has allowed me to bring real life experiences into the classroom.

Building and designing a marble roller coaster. This is a great activity for motion and forces for middle and high school students. Students use foam pipe insulation to design a roller coaster with hills, a loop and a curve. Students must problem solve to overcome the forces of gravity and centripetal forces to get a marble to the end of the track. Students also measure and calculate speed and acceleration at different points within the roller coaster.

I have a Bachelor degree in Biology and a certificate in Clinical Lab Science. I am currently working on a Masters in Chemical and Life Science. I am licensed in Life Science, Chemistry and Physics.

Additional biographical information

I was the High Ability Coordinator for my school for 7 years. I am the Academic Super Bowl Coach for Science. I also oversee the TEN80 Racing Challenge team.
