Teaching style

I am a passionate life-long learner and educator that believes the future is dependent on the education of our children. I believe that students learn best while happy. I love numbers, understanding data, and the beauty of mathematics. One of my great joys is to witness a student falling in love with numbers as well. I am drawn to technology. I am particularly interested in how technology can be used to bring communities together, build relationships, and engage students in active learning. My research interests have surrounded Educational Technology and issues that are relevant to my school community. I consider myself an active researcher, and want my research to have a direct impact on the quality of education in my community.

Additional biographical information

I love spending time outside with my family. Hiking, kayaking, surfing, cycling and running fill my bucket. I have just embraced horseback riding and playing the guitar as part of ranch life. I am an avid reader, and if I am not getting lost on a hike, you might find me lost in a book.
