This is a tremendous multiplication fact intervention. I have used it with great success with my fourth and fifth grade math classes. In only seven weeks of 3-4 times per week of use, students have increased their accuracy by 12.5%. In this same time, students have decreased their time to solve 100 problems from 12:05 to 4:44 on average. This is a 61% speed improvement in only seven weeks! The best part is that students are given the answers and do not feel any pressure. This has been one o
This is the audio recording that accompanies the Taped Problems worksheet. This recording is about 3 and 1/2 minutes long and allows students a stress free way to improve multiplication fact automaticity. Since this is an mp3 file it can be uploaded to individual tables, phones, players etc. so students can perform this intervention at home or on the road. Students love this intervention and it drastically improves their ability. The recording is matched with the taped problems worksheet.
A simple, yet informative PowerPoint that gives students an eye catching alternative to the drab text book drawings of the skeletal system. This visual aid is interactive and identifies major bones and discusses functions of the skeletal system. It also points out interesting facts about the skeletal system. For example, we have nearly 100 fewer bones as adults than we did as infants.
The PowerPoint presentation is an interactive look at the circulatory system. The slideshow includes video, sound clips, and cool facts that will allow students to really get into the subject matter. This slideshow discusses the anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system and traces blood flow through the body. It also compares veins and arteries and allows the user to change the order of the slideshow to allow students to feel as if they are in charge. - Cody Perry
The following chart asks students to choose four human body systems. They are then asked to describe each system's function as well as the major parts of each system. I have provided a list of organs or parts on page two to make things simpler for students. However, they will need to know the functions of each system from memory.
The following is as Excel chart that lists major cell organelles and a space for their functions. This chart also allows space for students to designate if the organelle is present in plant or animal cells. This chart makes a great companion to a visual representation of a plant or animal cell chart project. - Cody Perry

Teaching style
I enjoy using a workshop style where students become collaborative partners in their education. I feel that students need to be doing the majority of the work in order to be learning. If I am doing the bulk of the work, then I am doing my students a great disservice.
