I am currently employed at a Catholic School in Cheyenne, Wyoming and will be completing my Master's degree in curriculum and instruction this spring. I teach 5th grade and also coach 4th - 6th grade basketball.

This is a tremendous multiplication fact intervention. I have used it with great success with my fourth and fifth grade math classes. In only seven weeks of 3-4 times per week of use, students have increased their accuracy by 12.5%. In this same time, students have decreased their time to solve 100 problems from 12:05 to 4:44 on average. This is a 61% speed improvement in only seven weeks! Teaching style

I enjoy using a workshop style where students become collaborative partners in their education. I feel that students need to be doing the majority of the work in order to be learning. If I am doing the bulk of the work, then I am doing my students a great disservice.

I am married with two boys, aged 12 and 14. I will be starting my PhD work next fall. In addition, I will be completing my second half marathon soon and my first full marathon in May of 2014!
