About the store
I have been teaching in Maryland and West Virginia for nine years. In those years, I have taught a diverse selection of students, including English Language Learners, Special Education, and Honors, Advanced Placement, and Academy (top 10% of a class) students, I have also taught many types of classes: ELA 9-12 (on-grade and honors), AP Literature, Read 180, Creative Writing, Journalism, Newspaper, Broadcasting, and Yearbook. Somewhere in the midst of those classes, I was able to attain National Board certification.

This is an objective test or quiz on the entire play of The Importance of Being Earnest. It is 20 questions where students match the characters to their descriptions. This is intended to be a reading comprehension assessment rather than an analysis of the play itself.

Teaching style
I teach less than I monitor and facilitate. I believe students can and do teach one another, often better than we can teach them. Therefore, many of the assignments in my store are based around student discovery, interaction, and application. This type of instruction is highly conducive to the 21st century skills advocated in the Common Core State Standards.
