I used this sort with a small group to remediate misconceptions around units of measure with US Customary and Metric. We first color coded the vocabulary by length, weight/mass, and volume, and then looked for key words to help us identify which unit of measure words we needed to pick from.

This game reviews 4th grade Measurement based on the Virginia SOL standards. This game covers Metric and U.S. Customary for Liquid Volume (Capacity), Mass/Weight, and Length. To play, break students into 4 or 5 teams. Each team will need a fly swatter. Each team will send up a representative to the board with their fly swatter. Teacher will read the question.
