This resource includes 18 days of fraction choral counting. This is a routine that I used with 4th graders to build number sense with fractions. It is super engaging, and leads to great conversation. I used this paired with BrainingCamp, and had a student adding/taking away fraction bars on a number line to help students visualize. This product includes discussion questions and a reflection question for each chapter of Stamped For Kids. It functions similar to a novel study. There is not an answer key. I answered questions along with students as we went over chapters together. I did some chapters whole class, some where students worked with a partner, and some in small groups.
I used this sort with a small group to remediate misconceptions around units of measure with US Customary and Metric. We first color coded the vocabulary by length, weight/mass, and volume, and then looked for key words to help us identify which unit of measure words we needed to pick from.
This packet includes two days worth of fraction remediation (two blocks of 1 hour).
