Terrific Back-to-School Activity! Personalized Student Cartoon Characters!
"Chibis" are little cartoon characters with big heads and little bodies that originated from Japan. I made these so that each child could have their own character to display during the school year. My students love to color the chibi of their choice to look like themselves (adding hair, correct eye color, backgrounds etc.). Teaching style
I believe learning should be fun! Children retain best when their emotions are connected to their learning experience. What better way to learn than by playing games? I'm also a firm believer that teachers need to engage students through their senses as much as possible. Games provide great visuals as well as kinesthetic and auditory reinforcement.
My own education history
I graduated from Freed- Hardeman University with a BS in Elementary Education. Also, I have an LD endorsement from Old Dominion University and a Gifted Endorsement form the University of Virginia.
