What is the difference between a factor and a multiple? This game really helps my students to distinguish between factors and multiples! Playing "war" to find the GCF and the LCM (LCD) is a great way to get their minds "in gear" for reducing/ simplifying fractions, finding equivalent fractions and to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators. I color coded the LCM (LCD) game in red and GCF game in blue to help differentiate the games. I hope your students find these games beneficial!

I had a hard time finding material for this book, so I made my own. Chapter questions have been written for each chapter of the novel including setting, theme, characterization, finding the evidence, figurative language and much more. Useful for reviewing the story and checking for comprehension. Hope these help!

Have you ever needed a quick, easy reference to see what students should have been taught already? I made this scope and sequence based on California Common Core standards but they could be a general guide for any states that use Common Core. My students enjoy this colorful version of the Place Value chart. They place foam numbers (refrigerator magnets would work, too- or they could just write and erase numbers) right on the board to create different decimals. Little "Dewey" decimal (ha-ha) always says "and" when we read the number!

Use this sheet to reinforce probability vocabulary like ratios, more/less/equally likely, fair/unfair, certain and impossible. Simple graphics make it easy for students to understand.

A fantastic way to practice perimeter, area and volume! Can be used for up to four players. I use buttons for markers and keep a small wipe off board nearby for working out problems. It has really helped my students to differentiate between determining the area of rectangles and triangles, finding the perimeter, and figuring out the volume of solid figures! My students love these puzzles! Their faces glow with pride as they tell their parents they are "doing algebra"! Here is a checklist I made based on the California Common Core Standards for 5th Grade. It just gives me a general guideline to help me stay on track. Many of my students are often confounded by improper fractions in their answers! What is the difference between "place" and "value"? This board game boosts students' comprehension of "place" and "value" up to the hundred thousands place. Also, it gives extra practice with expanded form. Players get to pick a dog to walk and earn money along the way as they answer place value questions. This game would be ideal for a math center, small group instruction or for an assistant to work with students who need reinforcement!

A great way to practice subtracting those tricky fractions! My students like to work "Millionaire-style" and enjoy using their "phone a friend", "eliminate a choice", and "ask for a hint" options! Here's a fun way to review multiplication and division of fractions in pairs! Fraction Frenzy is played like "Connect Four". After students solve a problem from one of the squares, they place a token (like a button or eraser) onto their square. The first person to get four in a row wins!

These colorful bucks show 1, 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000 and 100,000. I love to use these value bucks when I'm trying to help my students remember the difference between "place" and "value"! It really helps! I also recommend my Place Value game called "Wags to Riches"...a dog walking game that reinforces these concepts. "Wags to Riches" contains these same value bucks, so if you decide to buy "Wags to Riches", you don't need these. However, if you just want to use the bucks- these work great!
