Area- Perimeter- Volume Bingo

A fantastic way to practice perimeter, area and volume! Can be used for up to four players. I use buttons for markers and keep a small wipe off board nearby for working out problems. It has really helped my students to differentiate between determining the area of rectangles and triangles, finding the perimeter, and figuring out the volume of solid figures! My students love playing this game!

Circle Bingo: Radius, Diameter and Circumference

Here's a basic bingo game that I have students play in pairs (or with a TA). Included is a set of cards, two bingo game boards and a standup to help remind them how to find the radius, diameter and circumference. Great for review, extra practice, or remediation!

Experience

I taught 3rd Grade in Virginia for 16 years. During that time, I worked with children with learning disabilities in an inclusion setting as well as gifted students in a gifted cluster classroom. Teaching style

I believe learning should be fun! Children retain best when their emotions are connected to their learning experience. What better way to learn than by playing games? I'm also a firm believer that teachers need to engage students through their senses as much as possible. Games provide great visuals as well as kinesthetic and auditory reinforcement.

My own education history

I graduated from Freed- Hardeman University with a BS in Elementary Education. Also, I have an LD endorsement from Old Dominion University and a Gifted Endorsement form the University of Virginia.
