The Turnover by Mike Lupica Chapter Questions
I had a hard time finding material for this book, so I made my own. Chapter questions have been written for each chapter of the novel including setting, theme, characterization, finding the evidence, figurative language and much more. Useful for reviewing the story and checking for comprehension. Hope these help!

Value Bucks! Teach "Value" in Place Value Using Money!
These colorful bucks show 1, 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000 and 100,000. I love to use these value bucks when I'm trying to help my students remember the difference between "place" and "value"! It really helps! I also recommend my Place Value game called "Wags to Riches"...a dog walking game that reinforces these concepts. "Wags to Riches" contains these same value bucks, so if you decide to buy "Wags to Riches", you don't need these. However, if you just want to use the bucks- these work great!

Place Value Chart to 100,000
Here's a freebie that I use all the time! Just laminate it or place it in a clear plastic folder and have students write digits into the chart using a dry erase marker. The "comma" is a pet dog who says, "thousand" when he barks. *grin* This helps so much for students who just don't "get it" or who need more practice.

Teaching style
I believe learning should be fun! Children retain best when their emotions are connected to their learning experience. What better way to learn than by playing games? I'm also a firm believer that teachers need to engage students through their senses as much as possible. Games provide great visuals as well as kinesthetic and auditory reinforcement.
My own education history
I graduated from Freed- Hardeman University with a BS in Elementary Education. Also, I have an LD endorsement from Old Dominion University and a Gifted Endorsement form the University of Virginia.
