Best Math Review: Math Pie Game! Grades 2-4
My students beg me to play this game! It is an excellent review of math concepts like telling time, money, place value, rounding, addition and subtraction, graphs, patterns, and geometry! Math Pie is played like "Trivial Pursuit". I recommend that you print the cards on colored cardstock so that they will be more durable. Integer Bingo: Adding and Subtracting Integers
I usually set up a little standup (included) to remind students of the rules for adding and subtracting integers during this game. This particular bingo game works best in pairs, so I only included 2 bingo sheets. My students really enjoy playing this with me and they have improved so much (especially with subtraction)! This game would work well for a center, in partners, or even for a TA to use one-on-one with that student who needs more practice!

Teaching style
I believe learning should be fun! Children retain best when their emotions are connected to their learning experience. What better way to learn than by playing games? I'm also a firm believer that teachers need to engage students through their senses as much as possible. Games provide great visuals as well as kinesthetic and auditory reinforcement.
My own education history
I graduated from Freed- Hardeman University with a BS in Elementary Education. Also, I have an LD endorsement from Old Dominion University and a Gifted Endorsement form the University of Virginia.
