About the store
I have experience working with all grade levels, from elementary to adult learners, and am familiar with a variety of curriculum. I have two Masters degrees, one in English and Comparative Literature with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Writing Studies and another in Reading Education, a reading specialist credential, and a reading certificate. The education I received in my Master's program focused heavily on the changes in literacy due to the Common Core Standards which is reflected in the curriculum I have created. I also have experience training teachers in common core approaches such as close reading. Additionally, I worked with a writing curriculum company to aide in their transition from the previous CA State Standards to the Common Core Standards. I currently teach reading, writing, and rhetoric at the community college level in San Diego, California. Although my classroom time is spent with adult learners, I am still heavily involved in elementary education, which is where my heart will always be!
