Talking Snack Mat (low-tech AAC)

Purpose: Create a language-rich environment by providing visual supports and Aided Language Input during snacktime. Model sentence generation, and encourage students to expand their MLU to make requests and comments. Target emergent math skills by having students indicate "How many?", and demonstrate 1-to-1 correspondence by placing a pretzel/fruit snack/etc on each number up to the number requested.
