Use hundred charts with coins to help students visualize patterns in coin counting to one dollar. Included:Separate hundred charts containing nickels, dimes and quarters. One hundred chart containing all denominations (including pennies for those kiddos who are still comfortable counting by ones). One blank hundred chart for you to customize. Print on card stock and laminate for use with dry-erase markers or manipulatives, or print on acetate to layer and compare!

Three part number puzzle matching game to reinforce the concepts of counting, subitizing and cardinality. Match the dice to the number of objects and the digit. Print on card stock and laminate to make into a file folder game or math center.

In this differentiated math/art activity, students combine math and art to create a landscape using perimeters of various sizes. On grid paper students draw and colour various parts of the landscape using only the given perimeters. Open questioning allows students to create figures in many different ways and shapes, to the best of their ability, and allows these landscapes to be quite different from each other when done.
