 Building proficiency in number names is the first step toward exemplary Common Core math scores . It gives students the automaticity in number value recognition and the variety of representations of that number to quickly begin the thinking process toward problem solving.  This daily practice can be done on wipe off boards, in a math journal (small amount of space), or anywhere you prefer. It depends on whether you want the exercise kept for reference for the student and/or progress journal

Additional biographical information

Upon retirement, I missed designing innovative, teacher friendly, effective instructional materials. So I landed here on TPT. I love all of the creativity out there, and the people creating it. But many of you are as I was......very, very, very busy. My products deliver the results in precise instruction. You are free to glam the environment as little or as much as you wish to match the themes.
