This is a 40 slide powerpoint jeopardy game that correlates with my map skills unit. I teach third grade in Georgia, but it can match other basic map skill lessons. Skills included are latitude and longitude, the 5 major US rivers, the 2 mountain ranges, cardinal directions and intermediate directions. It will work for a review before a test or before the CRCT.
During my third grade Georgia unit on weathering, erosion, and deposition, my students have a hard time differentiating between these three processes. So, I made this reader's theater to elaborate on the three processes and to give some more review about soils. It aligns with Georgia's third grade science standards, but it would apply to any upper elementary unit on erosion.
A five speaker, three page reader's theater for students to perform. It includes the concepts of supply and demand, boycotts, embargos, scarcity, needs and wants, goods and services, and interdependence. It meets the third grade Georgia social studies standards for economics, but could easily be applied to other grades that study on economics.
Because my students struggle with the difference between the three processes of weathering, erosion, and deposition, I created this sorting task. Students must cut, paste, and glue the processes under the correct heading to sort the statements correctly. As a third grade Georgia science teacher, I have always felt that resources are very limited on this topic, so I created this task to help students understand that the three processes are very different and distinct steps. I find that my stud
In Georgia, my third graders must learn about compund subjects and compound predicates before we learn compund and complex sentences. These practice sheets are some I use during my unit on compound subjects and predicates. There are three worksheets, and they include practice on identifying and creating compound subjects and predicates. I have always had difficulty finding third grade appropriate practice for this skill.
These are questions that I use when I teach my third grade unit on Paul Revere. They align with Georgia's third grade social studies standards, but you could use it with a Paul Revere unit of study or if you are studying the American Revolution. I have students write answers to their questions to help them study. You can use it as a study guide at the beginning of the unit, as an assignment during the unit, or like I do, by answering a few questions each day as we progress through our unit.
During my third grade Georgia unit on Greece, students will complete online and textbook reading. Then, students will complete the powerpoint presentation template by typing a short paragraph on each slide. The rubric outlines expectations for earning points on this task. Students must include factual information and grammatically correct sentences as part of this task. The task directions, the powerpoint template, and the grading rubric are included in this task.

I have created 10 HOTS questions to place in my Georgia third grade science safety unit. There are two pages of questions and two pages of answers included. It is a Microsoft Word Document so you an add/change/revise questions as you deem necessary. Students have to learn to make judgments, analyze the errors in the given scenarios, and draw some conclusions using what they know about science safety. Incorporating Bloom's Taxonomy into my lessons is a major goal of mine. There are 10 questio
