About the store
I have been teaching for 17 years. I've taught all grades, except 4th. My strength is in phonemic awareness and phonics, so I prefer the primary grades. My two favorite grades are first and second. I absolutely love the enthusiasm that students display and the huge leaps they make from beginning of the school year to the end. It's amazing!

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching for 17 years. I've taught all grades, except 4th. My strength is in phonemic awareness and phonics, so I prefer the primary grades. My two favorite grades are first and second. I absolutely love the enthusiasm that students display and the huge leaps they make from beginning of the school year to the end. It's amazing!

Teaching style

I believe that all students want to learn and be successful. As a teacher, I need to figure out which way to best present the lesson so ALL of my students can succeed!

My own education history

I graduated from UCSD. I received my teaching credential from the University of Phoenix.

Additional biographical information

I was an English Language Learner when I first began my experience in the American School System. Back then, it was sink or swim. Thankfully, I learned to swim quickly. I decided to work in areas where I knew I could connect to English Language Learners and link my experiences into my teaching techniques so they too could learn to swim quickly.
