Create and Collaborate

Students practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals with a real-world application! Included: Winter Wages: 3 Types of Jobs -Dog Walking (Distance) -Babysitting (Elapsed Time) -Shoveling (Area) 5 Scenarios per job Students choose six jobs to "complete" and calculate their wages while also getting extra practice with other math skills (listed by each type of job above). Budgeting: Students are asked to calculate 10% of their earning to be donated and 10% to be saved. Th

Students practice research, map, and language (informative and persuasive), and math skills in completing this project. Students plan a road trip (most likely in their area). They are to gather information about places they would like to visit, while also writing about these places in a persuasive manner. They are also asked to map out their travels and calculate costs.

Students cut and paste cards to sort into the correct column. Cards have both description with words and a picture.
