I have been through many of the lower grades. 1st and 2nd are my absolute favorites, but I also have a soft spot for 4th! I absolutely LOVE teaching. I couldn't ever imagine doing anything else. TYREE GUYTON - THE HEIDLEBERG PROJECT - EARTH DAY
This presentation introduces students to the artist Tyree Guyton. It explains how this man took his old abandoned neighborhood and turned it into live art. There is a read aloud titled "Magic Trash" that is included in this presentation as well! This is a great lesson to use for Earth Day as well as to integrate the arts into your instruction!

Experience

Teaching style
I want the environment of my classroom to be one where students are excited to come to each and every day. I want them to feel safe, and know that their classroom is a place where they can express themselves. With the being said, I am a stickler for behavior. My students learn that right off the bat. I love rewarding good behavior. FUN is my middle name, and I put that word into as much of my activities as possible.

I graduated with honors in undergrad, and will hopefully be doing even more for grad school!
My own education history
I graduated high school in 2007. I attended the University of Pitt at Johnstown Campus. College was the most amazing time of my life. I loved every minute of it. Th education program was wonderful. I was able to do 4 Field placements and 3 different student teaching experiences. I graduated college in 2011. I am now currently going back to grad school for reading at Edinboro.
Additional biographical information
I just recently got engaged and am in the process of planning my wedding. Its all so excited, and I am very excited for it to get here! I live in Pittsburgh, and am currently working at a public school there.
