In my previous role as an elementary educator within New York Public School District 32, I was responsible for the creation and delivery of mathematics curricula across multiple grade levels, specifically third through sixth grades. I embrace the theory that students learn best when they interact with their peers. Therefore, I have a student-centered approach to teaching. I implement cooperative learning opportunities to encourage students to explore, discuss information and develop a thorough understanding of how and why the information gathered is important to their lives.

Magdalene Williams was a 3rd-grade math teacher who taught students with special needs. Magdalene became a teacher in 2008 to educate and motivate students to learn the necessary information that will make them into scholars. Magdalene spent over three years as a Special Ed teacher, a Planning Learning Community member, and a math tutor. Today, Magdalene Williams creates and modifies math lesson plans and conducts math workshops in some private schools.
