Experience

I have taught American Sign Language 1 through 4 for more than 25 years in the high school setting, community college, families with deaf members, and adult education. I am sharing resources here because I know that ASL resources can be difficult to find. I want to help others improve their teaching through creative activities and lessons that engage students.

Teaching style

I follow the ACTFL path to proficiency philosophy and my lessons and activities are based on communication in real-world settings.

My own education history

I am a graduate of CSUN with a degree in Deaf Studies and ASL Linguistics. I also have a Masters of Science in School Counseling from the University of LaVerne.
