This year I will be moving into a new classroom. I wanted to go through a social story with the students and send a letter home to parents. This document was created in PowerPoint. **EDITABLE** I worked in a classroom with two paraprofessionals. I struggled with providing an organized way to determine roles in the room. Finally, I created a list of the duties for before, during, and after school. I sat down with both ladies and asked them what they would like to do. This way, they had some ownership and interest in what they were doing. The second portion of this document are the rules and routines of the classroom. Initiating a conversation can involve positive practice, reading, and writing. You can incorporate these activities into their independent work time. There is also an easy to use data sheet. This is a year-long bulletin board design. You can change the hashtags throughout the year. For example, you can change them each month, for each thematic unit, display student work, etc. I print real photos. My students really love looking at them! They can be great conversation starters and writing prompts. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy :)

This is a set of data sheets to be used to monitor progress for all Dolch sight word lists. The way this data sheet is set up allows you to see individual percentages for words including which words a student is struggling with.

We send this letter every year to our local grocery store. They provide a donation of fried chicken for our Friendsgiving event. We happen to go grocery shopping there each week. You can edit the letter to fit your needs.

So many students struggle with coping with anger. The best thing to do is teach them how to! This can be used as both a social story and checklist. I have students read through the checklist and then go through each step. The student in the example had very explicit steps. You can alter it to fit the needs of your students. This is a great resource to use with students with moderate to severe needs. It is very minimal. I used this with a student who had a goal to count coins using Touch Points. You can put it in Google Slides using Google classroom. It can be done on an iPad or computer. Students are able to click and drag the answer into the yellow box. This provides data collection with ten trials.

I work with students with significant disabilities. One student, in particular, needed a plethora of activities to do that were a the level of a preschooler. I created this document that provided the name, steps, and materials for each activity. They are simple to do in the classroom or hallway. The directives that are listed are simple. The document is editable so you can add new activities and personalize it to meet your student's needs. It came in handy to show exactly what my other staff

This item is for classroom decor. I glued my letters onto black paper and laminated them. Then, I used a hot glue gun to attach the letters onto a ribbon. You can also hang it as a banner. It is something that can be hanging all year. The font I used is Wish I Were Taller. Enjoy :)
