About the store
I'm an international school teacher with 17 years experience and have taught predominantly within the International Baccalaureate curriculum, but also have experience with the French AEFE and American curricular systems. My students are a mix of native English speakers and EAL students from around the world. I currently teach middle school Geography and creative writing but have experience teaching English Language and Literature to all levels from Grade 1-12 (PYP, DP) and have also taught adult EAL classes.

About the store

Experience

I'm an international school teacher with 17 years experience and have taught predominantly within the International Baccalaureate curriculum, but also have experience with the French AEFE and American curricular systems. My students are a mix of native English speakers and EAL students from around the world. Teaching style

My teaching focuses on how can we foster confident, empathetic problem-solvers who explore solutions to issues in their lives. I strive to provide learning tools that encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and collaboration in the global classroom.

I have presented workshops on differentiation and becoming aware of our own cultural biases when teaching. I am a National Board Certified Teacher.

Additional biographical information

Mother of two and an avid appreciator of fresh air, growing plants, sunshine and dark chocolate. Although originally from California, for the past twenty years I have lived and worked in France, Tanzania, Congo, Korea, Egypt and Lebanon.
