This is a shape sorting mat for circle, square, rectangle, and triangle. I use with the small shapes and shape buttons from lakeshore. I laminated for durability. I made 5 copies and using during prek 7 minutes table rotations. Each students has their own small bucket of shapes.
These are checklists I made and use almost daily for gold data collection. This includes check list for A,B,C,D, and E if the objective has it. During the school year I teach pre-k students the numbers slowly and only put 2 or 3 on my lanyard at a time. While they are lining up I am asking them questions about the numbers. What is this? Can you show me that number on your fingers? Can you count to that number with me? or other simple things. I also do this during the afternoon dismissal time that can take up to 15 minutes. This is a one page mat for sorting bugs by kind. The three kinds included are ladybugs, butterfly, and spiders. There are 2 products sold by lakeshore that I use these with. This is a shape sorting by number of corners and side mat. The mat has a spot for shapes with 3 corners/3 sides, 4 corner / 4 sides, and 0 corners (circle).
