Math Valentines
Show your students that algebra and trigonometry can be close to their heart. These are .gif images of Valentines drawn from Math Equations. The equation for each heart is written at the top of the Valentines. There are six different equations that produce a heart shape. Some of the Valentines have been drawn as Fractals. The images have a transparent background, so they can be drawn on top of text or other pictures in a Word document. Black and white versions are included so they can be

St Patricks Day Math Shamrock
A 1-page handout showing the math equation for drawing a 3-leaf and 4-leaf shamrock using polar coordinates. A graph of the equation using the Cartesian Coordinate System is included for comparison of the two coordinate systems. Students can use the equations in Excel, a graphing calculator, or other software and play around with the formulas. Instructions are not included.
