This common core activity will help students begin to understand the relationship among place values. Students will be asked to write sentences to explain their understanding of place value and their relationships. This could be used as a Math Center, Small Group, or Individual activity. Directions and sample sentences are included to help your students know what is expected.

This hands on activity is designed to help students understand the concept of powers of ten. Students will understand the relationship among place values as they move decimals in each problem. Directions, game board, task cards and student worksheet are included in this bundle. Not included: Dice and Counters Adaption: Coins may be used in place of counters (Heads vs Tails) Common Core Aligned

This activity gives students practice with plotting ordered pairs on a coordinate plane. Students will challenge each other to see who can get 5 counters in a row first. But WATCH OUT - your partner can steal your point, by flipping it over to be their color. Dice and counters not included.

Students will embark on creating their own word problems involving fractions (mixed numbers). This covers Common Core Standards 5.NF.1 and 5.NF.2. Students are then able to solve their problems. All materials are included except for dice and counters.

This song was created to help students understand the differences between high and low air pressure systems. To the tune of "You Are My Sunshine" * When I sing this with my kids, we act out the song with motions. (They LOVE it!)
