I have been teaching first grade for 9 years.

My classroom is very learning focused. I love to try out new ideas and create games, but everything I do has a learning goal. I'm an out of the box thinker. I am always looking for ways to scaffold student learning. I love children's literature, songs, and problem solving.

I won the National School Orchestra Award at high school graduation!! (Sorry, just tired of seeing that my profile is only 80% complete.)

I have a reading endorsement and a masters in education.

I'm a teacher in an urban school, a mom to 3, and a wife. I like teaching, creating, cooking, reading, singing and treasure hunting.
