Teaching style

A mix between "old school" direct instruction and 21st Century collaborative learning. It really depends on the students I have each year. Some years, my groups need more traditional methods and other years we can expand to more out of the box methods. I esp. love to infuse as much technology as possible.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Additional biographical information

I have always wanted to be a teacher - but took the long route to finally decide. I truly enjoy working with others to develop their knowledge and skills. I love to help students (and even adults) become who they want to by empowering them to stretch beyond their comfort zone and reach new heights of academic and personal success. Sometimes life leads us down winding side roads, but eventually we all find our way back to the main path -- to our destiny. My other passion (ok, obsession) is organizing! I love organizing classrooms, personal spaces, memorabilia, etc.
