I have a strong love for reading and highly value critical thinking. My lessons focus on analyzing text, drawing inferences, and understanding character development through the full spectrum of ELA standards without pulling the reader out of the story, but rather allowing them to grow deeper connections to what they read.
My background is in high school education, as well as teaching both 7th and 8th grade ELA. Currently, I partner with various multi-grade homeschool co-ops making novel based curriculum.

Travel Project!
Students will go through all the steps to research and plan a vacation based on their given budget! Through this students will learn the important job of researching something they love while understanding the value of money and how to create a budget. The lessons are broken down by each area and a student example is also provided to help students understand their end goal. Great for a variety of grade levels and class areas!
