Students will follow along with these colorful slides and videos with a graphic organizer worksheet (separate purchase). Are you someone who has many students with accommodations? Are you trying to get more organized for this school year? I created this printable for myself to help keep track of all of my student's needs from their IEPs. It is a quick reference sheet instead of scrolling through endless goals and information. I find that as a music teacher who doesn't see students every day, this really helps keep me organized! Edit the cover with your information and use google slides to add any more information

This worksheet works well with my Video Game Music History slides! Students will fill in their definitions in the large bubbles for 8 and 16-bit music, then fill the small bubbles with video game names we discussed that fit each category. Works well for students who need organizers, directions, and helps students stay on task.

Have you ever wanted your students to learn about musical forms the FUN way? Look no further! Slides 2-4 discuss verse, chorus, and bridge. Slides 5-13 are listening exercises, writing activities, and visual aids to present. Students will listen, analyze, and create musical forms through more popular music from artists like Green Day, Weezer, and even Billie Eilish. Students can use letters (like A, B, C, etc.) to write in the sections they hear throughout the songs. How I used it: with PearDec

Have you ever wanted to share the love of music with students, only for them to say they don't play an instrument? There are plenty of careers for those who are not so musically inclined, and I wanted to show my classes that they can still love and be involved in music when they are older! I use a project for them afterward to create a wanted poster for their job requirements and a resume about themselves (not included) but feel free to use the slides as you see fit. I've used this whole prese

I wish I could show my students every neat little part of world music, but I show them a broad insight of the cultures around the world and then they get to pick a place to find out more on their own! Students choose a country and can fill out the information in this easy to use format. The template has information to add photos and videos so that each presentation looks neat and organized. When I do this lesson, I go take a cart from the library and stockpile it with books from every country I

I love to start out my rhythm unit with some fun activities! Using Google slides, there are activities to present, work on as a class, have students use with their 1:1 tech, and also to work in groups in centers. First, we delve into the origins of rhythm and what beat and rhythm mean. We try to keep the beat as it gets faster so students can see it does change speeds! (Slides 2, 4, 5) Second, I show different ways music can be represented, using symbols or other ways (Slides 6, 7 video) Third,

Use this at the beginning or end of the year to support the arts and get students interested in music! I love to use this to show my 7th and 8th graders it's possible to be in music without even playing an instrument (especially in the business side). Comes with 10 8X11 pages of descriptions of jobs. It is in a boho style.

Teaching style

I love to use technology and have students move in the classroom. We try out new apps, and sounds, and experiment with music making. I feel that students need to constantly be creating so I believe that project-based learning best shows their strengths instead of formal tests.
