Addition and Subtraction Poems
The subtraction poem can help students better understand all the ways of subtraction. You will have to write in the 2 boxes about the problem next to "More on the floor?...Go next door and take 10 more".
Song and Dance
I start a slow, large clap with my students. They repeat me.
I then start to sing and dance
"More on the top?" I put my hands in the air to represent "the top"
"No need to stop!" I push my arms back and forth and shake my head "no"
I then jump to the floor "More on the floor?"

Homework Reward Punch Cards
I have made 2 different homework reward punch cards. One has 24 punches with stars and the other has 25 punches with hearts. I give out bucks in my classroom, which the students can use in our classroom store. Once they get all their punches I would give them 50 bucks.
