This math center activity is great for the holiday season and for reviewing common core standards K.CC.3 & 4. Students will choose a Christmas tree card, count the ornaments on the tree, write the number on a line below the first tree on the Recording Sheet, then color the tree. This game can be used in conjunction with a Solar System unit or at any point during the year to reinforce common core standard K.CC4. It would be best suited for 1 or 2 children at a time. I provided my students with a small bag of wooden stars from the craft store to go along with the Solar System theme but any counters would do. The children will also need dice.
