The QU Wedding has become a popular event in many classrooms. To commemorate this occasion, my colleagues and I purchase Ring Pops to give our students as favors to remember attending the ceremony. I made these tags to attach to each treat.

This game is great for reviewing three-dimensional shapes for common core standard K.G2. After printing on white or colored card stock the teacher should cut on the black line to make game cards. (You may consider printing out more than one set of the cards to increase the level of difficulty.) After analyzing assessment data I determined my students math scores were considerably lower than those in the area of Reading/Language Arts. I created a survey to try to find out what could be causing this. To administer the survey, I read each of the questions regarding math and gave my students the opportunity to respond by coloring a happy or sad face.

This resource includes labels and pictures of common 3D objects that can be printed on card stock, cut apart, and laminated for use on anchor charts in the classroom when introducing or reviewing common core standard K.G2. Students can place the objects in the correct place then give additional information to the teacher to be added to the chart. (Be sure to point out to children that it is the Bugles chips inside the bag and not the bag itself that are shaped like cones.)

This math center activity is great for the holiday season and for reviewing common core standards K.CC.3 & 4. Students will choose a Christmas tree card, count the ornaments on the tree, write the number on a line below the first tree on the Recording Sheet, then color the tree. This hands-on activity gives students the opportunity to find the relationship between two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. Students take a specific three-dimensional object and trace/stamp one of its faces in the box. They then look at the two-dimensional shape that resulted to see if there is a relationship (for example: tracing/stamping the face of a cube will result in a square, tracing/stamping the face of a cylinder will result in a circle, etc.).

This game can be used in conjunction with a Solar System unit or at any point during the year to reinforce common core standard K.CC4. It would be best suited for 1 or 2 children at a time. As a part of our study of Japan and as a way to review the sight words we had covered, I attached sight word cards to pictures of sushi I printed, laminated and cut out. I placed the pieces of "sight word sushi" in a bin of uncooked rice and provided students with wooden chopsticks to create a sensory bin/sight word experience they loved! This recording sheet can be used in conjunction with a study of dinosaurs, letter Dd or a hands-on alphabet review! Students can pretend they are paleontologists and "go on a dig" to find hidden letters in a tub filled with sand or rice.
